Merakuest
Product & Project Lead · Live beta · Ongoing
A gamified language-learning product in live beta that teaches Bulgarian through an RPG-style chapter map, checkpoints and boss battles.

Merakuest is a language-learning product in live beta that teaches Bulgarian through an RPG-style chapter map, checkpoints and boss battles. Learners collect XP, rank up and practise with short mini-games that target vocabulary, grammar, listening and reading.
The opportunity
Language learning can feel repetitive, especially for less commonly taught languages. A structured, game-like experience gives learners clear goals, immediate feedback and a reason to return every day.
Pedro’s role
Pedro is the Product & Project Lead. He sets product direction, coordinates design and content, runs QA and release planning, manages user feedback loops and uses AI-assisted development to speed up specification and content workflows. He does not hand-code every technical component; his focus is on making the product coherent, testable and release-ready.
What we built
- Chapter-based curriculum covering Cyrillic Alphabet, Greetings, Family, Numbers, Colours, Food and Drink, and Transport and Directions.
- Multiple mini-games: Anagram, Word Search, Memory Cards, Wordle, Jigsaw Sentences, Quick Quiz and Cognate Quiz.
- Boss battles that gate chapter completion.
- XP, rank, hearts and coins progression economy.
- Manual and Summary learning modes.
- Live beta at merakuest.com.
Validation & QA
A visible validation pipeline shows OpenSpec 49/49 valid, 404 Flutter tests passed, 10/10 beta chapters clean, 38/38 chapters with correct pedagogical order and 0 content errors. This gives the team confidence before each release.
Results & current status

Lessons learned
Clear progression and bite-sized sessions matter more than feature count. A focused beta gives better feedback than a wide, unfinished launch, and a disciplined QA pipeline saves time later.
